Another fine winter’s morning with plenty of rain around and a variable north westerly wind. The draw is very important at this venue and many did not get the right numbers in there envelopes or in Martins case, a big smile went over his face when he realised he had drawn the top peg on the lake and duly obliged with the top weight of the day. With Nigel Mills on what was rated as good a peg as Martins, missing out on top spot by less than a kilo.
Aquatics did well to take two section wins with a maiden win for Simon Brown. Move over nomates you have a new star in your team. Unity kept up the pressure at the top of the league despite not being on their best form. Matrix are also keeping up with the pace, taking three seconds and a third. Paul must have given Ray a lesson in Gilbert tactics.
Plonker of the day award must go to Andy (I’m a carper now) Cox. He turned up without a Keepnet, landing net or trolley I am surprised he found his way to the lake, what it they say is, you can choose your friends but you are stuck with your relatives.
