Blean Angling Teams of Four.
13th April Round 5, Hartleylands Nicks and Bramley, 36 Pegs

A fair morning greeted us to what will be our last match on the most westerly venue we use. The league was up for grabs but Moatrix Invicta held on to take yet another series. Gavin Palmer again leading his team to a devastating near maximum, only 5 points dropped.

Paul Gilbert led the charge to catch up with Moatrix with a fine section win from the top of the lake but a bad draw for some of the team didn’t produce enough points to catch up, Ray Fell kept up his support with yet another fine performance to take 2nd on Bramley Lake. James Young guesting for the ever improving Ex Cottington did well extracting 14.5kg from a difficult swim. James will be fishing with the youngsters (and Roger) in the summer series. If some of his skills rub off on the others we may have a new team at the top. Overall it was a fitting end to a good hard fought series.

Just a few thanks as normal, Steve and co for pegging out, Mark and Ray for their unending support and most of all, those that turn up and make it a good series.

Get well soon to Dave Silman currently recovering from surgery, there is no truth in the rumour that he has had a brain transplant; he didn’t have one to swap. Ha ha. As usual Kev Dyer put in a brilliant performance, well done Kev.
See you all soon.
